Moonshine Endurance raises funds through endurance challenges and uses those funds to design safe, supervised places for underprivileged youth in developing countries to have fun, learn, and be challenged.

Islands for Islands

To support our non-profit initiatives: Island for Islands initiatives of Community, Environment, and Animal Welfare in Prince Edward Island, and Malapascua Island, Philippines.

All profits made through the Swashbuckler events will be split evenly between both charities and will be used to drive forward their individual agendas.

Swashbuckler Bike Event - Event Overview

There will be THREE starts to the day, a bike ride from Tignish to The Knot (formerly The Paddleshack) in Summerside, and then a swim, kayak, or stand up paddle from The Knot to Holman's Island and back, and then an afterparty at 6:30 PM at The Silver Fox. 

What: Bike ride from the beginning of the Confederation trail in Tignish to The Knot in Summerside, PEI.

Distance: 100km (roughly 4-5 hours).

Athlete Ticket (Bike Only) - $65 per athlete entry. If an athlete is able to fundraise $250 or more he/she will receive a free T-Shirt and 10 free raffle tickets.

Athlete Ticket (Swim & Bike) - $100 per athlete entry which includes free entry to the Swashbuckler afterparty (value $20).  If an athlete is able to fundraise $250 or more he/she will receive a free T-Shirt and 10 free raffle tickets.

Additional benefits

• Swag Bag (protein shaker, gift cards, supplements, snacks...etc), support during events, entry for prizes from local sponsors, discounted beer(19+).
• Admission to the afterparty concert.
• Athlete entry includes raffle draw entry
• Free snack platter at the afterparty. First come first serve.

Itinerary

• 7:30 AM - Shuttle leaves The Knot in Summerside.
• 9:00 AM - A bike ride leaves from Tignish along the Confederation Canada trail.
• 2 PM - 3 PM -  Bike Riders arrive at The Knot in Summerside

Details

• The bike will be on the Confederation Trail, not on the highway
• Change of clothes, swim, kayak, paddle gear and extra food can be left at The Knot before departing to Tignish.
• People are allowed and encouraged to find their own transportation to Tignish if possible.
• All bikers get free admission to afterparty event at The Fox.

Swashbuckler Swim/Paddle Event - Event Overview

What: Swim or Paddle from The Knot to Holman Island and back

Distance: 2-2.5 km (roughly 1-2 hours).

Athlete Ticket (Swim Only) - $65 per athlete entry. If an athlete is able to fundraise $250 or more he/she will receive a free T-Shirt and 10 free raffle tickets.

• 3 PM/3:30 PM - 6 PM - Swim or Paddle from The Knot to Holman's Island and back
• 6-6:30 PM - Shuttle leaves from The Knot to The Fox

Details

• If you would like to rent a kayak or stand up paddle board please let us know.
• Change of clothes, swim, kayak, paddle gear and extra food can be left at The Knot before the swim.
• Recommended that swimmers take their own wetsuits. If a wetsuit is required, please advise on your sign up form (additional cost required).
• Safety boats and kayakers will be on the water to ensure a safe event.
• If the weather is too bad to complete the swim at the scheduled time. We will complete a swim of equal length along the shoreline.
• A simple outdoor shower and small change area will be set up to rinse off following the swim if required.
• All swimmers get free admission to afterparty event at The Fox
