About the event

The 1st Annual Moonshine Endurance 1-day 275KM bike ride from Tignish, PEI to East Point Lighthouse will take place on Saturday, August 14th. Registartion opens on April 19th, 2021. Registration will close when we reach 10 riders and a wait-list will be started.

Fundraising requirments

Each swimmer must raise a minimum of $1,000. All funds go to support the Moonshine Endurance cause. 

Accomidations

Participants need to book and pay for their own rooms and/or camping equipment. Please note that all riders will be required to attend a mandatory session the afternoon prior to kick off. More details to follow soon.

Registration policy

Registration fee: $150

Event registration includes:

  • Safety support
  • A recommended training program
  • Event t-shirt
  • Fundraising support
  • Moonshine Endurance will provide a recomended route and supporting documents to assist riders in the challange.
  • Goodie bag with natural, high-performance fuel for athletes from our sponsors Endurance Tap and Supplement King.

Refunds

There will be no refunds given withen 30 days of the start of the event.

Cancelation

There are times when we must cancel a program due to inclement weather, or health concerns governed by health authorities. In this occurrence, a credit will be issued. If a program is cancelled due to an unforeseen emergency, participants will receive a full refund if no alternative program can accommodate the participant. If a cancellation occurs after a program is in process, a credit will be given.

Safety precaution

It is recomened that riders partisipate in pair's of two.

Limitations

There will be no spectators allowed in the immediate vicinity of challenge start/finish.

Social Distancing

We will not be encouraging any close contact for on-land activities. Participants will be reminded to maintain a 2m spacing from other groups. Masks are strongly encouraged (as well, participants will be asked to bring their own) for pre & post-event communications.

Pre-ride

Communication is online, when the rider arrives they will be encouraged to keep a 2m distance from other riders for the pre-event briefing.  Please arrive no earlier than 1 hour prior to scheduled start time.

Bike ride start

Riders will line up 2m apart (within the width of the designated area). While the riders are riding they will not be within 2m of one another (exceptions made for safety concerns).

Bike ride end

Riders will be encouraged to stay 2m apart from one another.

Post-Ride

Our apologies, we will not be hosting the annual Swashbuckler ( post-challenge ceremony ) and there will be no food served. Participants will be encouraged to head back home rather than stay and visit with one another to limit personal contact and promote social distancing.
